Focus of the position

You will be in charge of follow-ups on MRP/Kanban/JIT purchases, maintaining planning parameters for mechanical parts and follow-ups on inventory and consigned purchases.


Tasks, responsibilities & mandates

  1. Plan and make purchases of raw materials such as MRP, Kanban, Consigned and VMI
  2. Follow up on daily reports to maintain integrity of order history data
  3. Justify raw material price gaps
  4. Treat non-conforming follow-ups and take corrective actions when necessary with suppliers
  5. Participate in developing new products and modifications of existing parts
  6. Keep supply information from the central management system updated (AS400)
  7. Optimize methods of supply management based on inventory turnover
  8. Act as reference person for cyclical inventory analysis
  9. Support logistics chain team in projects and related tasks


Qualifications required

  1. Must be bilingual
  2. DEC in administration, relevant option
  3. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  4. Accreditation from the Supply Chain Management Associationis an asset
  5. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and a stock management system
  6. Skilled negotiator
  7. Ability to work independently, strong organizational and analytical skills
