Venmar Ventilation donates $20,000 for the construction of social housing

Drummondville, September 3, 2019 - Venmar Ventilation ULC offers some fresh air to the Villa du Parc-de-la-Paix of Drummondville. The leader in residential air quality products poses a humanitarian gesture for the local community by handing over 95 range hoods for future housing units. The first range hoods will be installed in the 40 new housing units for low-income seniors struggling with a slight loss of autonomy. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2020. The other hoods will be used in new social housing for low-income families and individuals. The location and date of construction of these new buildings are yet to be confirmed.

"Through this partnership, the new homes at Villa du Parc-de-la-Paix will be equipped with high-quality range hoods, designed and developed at the Venmar Research and Development Centre of Excellence in Drummondville," says David Barrow, Canadian Executive Managing Director of Venmar Ventilation ULC.

"In Drummondville, the number of social housing units is insufficient, and the demand is constantly growing. The construction of new social housing is necessary for our region. Venmar gives an extra boost to our development projects. This donation will reduce our construction costs by approximately $ 20,000. We welcome the social involvement of Venmar. This generous gesture will directly benefit the less affluent," added David Bélanger, General Director of the Office d’habitation Drummond.

"We are very proud to contribute to the well-being of our community. In this regard, we remain convinced that this partnership will improve the daily life of the residents of these homes for the less fortunate," concluded Mr. Barrow.
